How to prepare for JEE Mains' 18 with 1 year left?

How to prepare for JEE Mains' 18
with 1 year left?

Most of you reading this post right now must class XII student who are preparing to give JEE Mains in 2018 for the first time. Well the good thing is that you have 1 whole year to prepare for JEE Mains right now, and you must feel good about it. And the bad thing is...... you would still have to study for 1 more year :(

First of all, you need to understand your present situation. You have just 1 more year to go, either you give in everything and get into your dream college, or keep it casual and get admitted into one of those private universities you find at every other street. IIT, NSIT, DTU, IIITs, NITs etc. are dream colleges. You need to earn an admission in them. And you would decide your worth in this 1 year.
Just give in everything you can, for this 1 year. This 1 year can make your career, can build your future can carry you away to a better life.

Enough of motivational stuff :P Let's get going with the strategy one needs to follow.

First of all, don't treat NCERT as a noob book, which can't fetch you a great score. NCERT is the God of all JEE books. You ask any of the JEE toppers, and they would definitely praise NCERT for the quality of content it contains. Most people make this mistake, and repent/regret later.

Keep special emphasis on Chemistry, as this is the section which could elevate your rank from 50k to under 10k. Chemistry is the most scoring section, and the most easiest one too. Give special emphasis to Organic Chemistry. Also, don't procastinate when it comes to Inorganic Chemistry.
Many people tend to act lazy, and avoid studying Inorganic Chemistry. This part requires a little memorization, but again this is the part where anyone can fetch 100% score. I would recommend to read Inorganic from NCERT only.

Class 12 Physics, is comparatively easier to class 11. Physics again, can turn out to be a very scoring section if studied well. You need to keep your concepts clear here. Magnetism, could get very boring at a certain time, but just don't give up on it. Go for HC Verma when it comes to JEE Physics.

Now, mathematics has been a nightmare to most of the students preparing for JEE. Calculus is what you would be studying majorly this year in Maths. Calculus is one of the most asked section in Mathematics, and just can't ignore it. Try to solve as many problems as possible and give time to each every part of it. You don't need to hurry up if you start on time as there is 1 whole year left.

Try to complete, your JEE syllabus by November- December so that you still have a few more months to revise Class 11 topics too. If possible, try to go out and hangout around with friends les. You should definitely enjoy, party, play etc. but to a certain limit so that it doesn't affect your preparation.

I strongly recommend  to give up all Social Media platforms for this 1 year. I did the same, and am realising now the benefits of it. Please try to deactivate accounts from all Social Media platforms like Facebook, WhatsApp, Instagram, Snapchat etc. as these distract you a lot.  I know it's gonna be difficult initially, but in a few weeks, everything would just feel normal.

I won't be telling much about the exact strategy that needs to be followed as you have just entered Class XII, and I don't want to throw too much burden upon you guys.

And lastly....
NEVER GIVE UP.
